Welcome to the Community Service page of NCJW Houston! At the heart of our organization's mission is a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in our community. Through a range of impactful projects, we strive to uplift and support those in need, creating lasting change and fostering a more compassionate society.
After years of dedicated work in the field of domestic violence, our members took the initiative to establish AVDA in 1980. We take immense pride in our role as founders and in our ongoing support, including the creation of the NCJW Client Emergency Fund at AVDA, which serves as an unrestricted resource, providing crucial assistance to individuals seeking safety from abusers.
Our initiatives reflect our dedication to education, empowerment, and essential assistance. Each year, the NCJW Back to School Store equips students with the tools they need for success by providing uniforms and supplies, ensuring that every child has a strong start to the academic year. We believe in celebrating milestones, which is why our annual graduation party for HISD's HIPPY graduates and enrichment activities like the Halloween Party at SEARCH's House of Tiny Treasures Preschool are so important to us.
Our community impact is a testament to the power of collective action. By joining forces with our volunteers, partners, and supporters, we are creating a brighter future and contributing to a stronger, more resilient Houston. Together, we're writing stories of transformation, hope, and unity, and we invite you to be a part of our journey toward positive change.
