Covid, Ukraine, Buffalo, Uvalde! It can be too much! Being frustrated, angry, lonely, and anxious are typical reactions to atypical events, and can lead to tender reactions.
In this presentation Gittel Francis, LMSW will explore how to be a support for yourself and others, offer coping mechanisms and answer some of your most frequent questions.
As a community we will learn resilience, self-support strategies, and tools to provide strength for each other.
There will be time for questions and answers at the end of the presentation.
Gittel Francis, LMSW is a Behavioral Mental Health Service Community Intervention Specialist, under clinical board approved supervision, at Jewish Family Service. In her role, Gittel hosts trainings and lectures on a range of topics to increase mental health literacy and decrease stigma. Gittel manages the Jewish Family Service Mental Health First Aid program and holds the title of national instructor in Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid.
