She will discuss the complex, intertwined history of Jews and Muslims. Misunderstandings of this history fuel misconceptions that American Jews and American Muslims have about each other today.

Following the talk, panelists will share how they are creating opportunities for dialogue between Jews and Muslims in our community.

Panel includes:

  • Sara Speer Selber and Nabila Mansoor from Salaam/Shalom Initiative
  • Reverend Gregory Han, Director of Interfaith Relations and Education of the Interfaith Ministries
  • Farha Ahmed, a member of the Muslim-Jewish Committee of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) Houston
