Day on the Hill – Houston goes to Austin!

Registration for our biennial Day on the Hill event is now open! Please join NCJW members from across the state for a two-night event in Austin. This year, we will be representing our Jewish values and placing specific emphasis on the following issues while meeting with our representatives: gun sense, LGBTQIA+ protections, reproductive justice and women’s health, school choice/vouchers, and voting.

Itinerary

Sunday 3/26: Check in and have dinner with NCJW members (restaurant to be determined)

Monday 3/27: Guest speakers, workshops, lunch, and role playing legislative visits

We will have guest speakers help us prepare for the following topics:

• Gun Sense: Nicole Golden, Executive Director of Texas Gun Sense

• Reproductive Justice: Val Benavidez, President and Executive Director of Texas Freedom Network

• Voting: TBD

Tuesday 3/28: Meet with representatives at the Capital!
