National Council of Jewish Women Greater Houston Section (NCJW GHS) is celebrating 110 years of serving the Houston community as “AGENTS OF CHANGE”. Over these years, NCJW, GHS has been at the forefront of social change, championing the needs of women, children, and families. The advocates of NCJW, GHS strive to follow in the footsteps of incredible role models such as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and founder of NCJW, Hannah G. Solomon.

As we commemorate the past 110 years, we ask for your financial support of our 2022 “AGENTS OF CHANGE” Campaign. Please reach deep into your heart and your pockets and help NCJW continue to serve the Houston community. Your sponsorship will be listed on a special 110 Year commemorative artwork, which you will receive at the end of our campaign.

Your contribution will be supporting NCJW’s many community service projects such as:

AVDA: Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, an agency founded by NCJW in 1980, which offers free, legal services to over 5,000 adults and children who are victims of domestic abuse annually.

HIPPY: Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters, empowers parents as primary educators of their preschool children in the home and fosters parent involvement in school and community life to maximize the chances of successful early school experiences.

Back 2 School Store provides free new clothing, coats, shoes, school supplies and personal care items for under-served elementary school students enrolled in the HIPPY program.

Pads and Pons provides menstrual supplies to middle schools and shelters to address period poverty and to keep girls in school.

NCJW GHS is very excited to announce that the 2022 Robin Perlo Berry NextGen Leadership Award will be presented to Lauren Weingarten Marouni and Jenna Rosen. This award recognizes outstanding young leaders in Houston for their community work and philanthropy and both recipients are truly deserving. The NextGen Leadership award will be given at a VIP reception on Saturday, November 12th.

Please go to: Agents of Change Online Donation Form by October 18, 2022 in order to be listed on the commemorative artwork. Your commitment at one of the donor levels is critical to help NCJW make a difference in the Houston community.
