The National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Houston Section, partnering with NCJW Inc, and JOIN (Jewish Organizing Institute & Network) for Justice, is hosting an all-day workshop on how to build skills to more effectively advocate.
This workshop is a Jewish leadership training, called ROAR!, Resistance, Organizing, Action and Resilience. Over 760 people have attended ROAR! trainings in 19 cities around the country. The training is designed for those new and those with more experience in social justice work to come together to develop campaigns that make real change. Participants will explore how to work across lines of difference, how to find strength and resilience to allow us to work for justice long-term, and how Jewish wisdom can guide us and ground us in this moment.
The workshop will take place on Sunday, March 25 at St. James Community Room, 5555 Del Monte from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. The cost to attend this event is $15.
This workshop is open to members of the community, but all attendees must register in advance. Seating is limited. To reserve your place, click here.
